Wedding Photography Information
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!! I can only imagine that you must now have a million and a half questions as you begin your planning… well we are here to help.
Here are some of the things in regards to wedding photography that will help make your day go even smoother.
Relax, breathe and stay calm. Just know that not everything on your day is going to go as planned. If you can roll with the punches and continue to enjoy your day through getting ready, late family and all around craziness you are going to come out on top. Just know that I have photographed so many weddings that I feel like I have pretty much seen it all. I have been doing this since 2008 and no signs of stopping any time soon.
Find a person who knows all of the family members. I know you have certain combinations of people you want photographed and your are going to make a list, trouble is, I have NO idea who Grandma Jane and Aunt Betty are. So designate a family wrangler and your family photos will go so much quicker and smoother.
Decide on “First Look” photos, or couples photography after the ceremony. Take a look at how you would like your wedding day to progress. Some couples prefer one or the other, and either option is the right one for you. As much advance planning as we can do will make the day go by so much smoother. Once I know, I can scope out the best areas with the most flattering light!
Family dynamics. Lets just throw this out there, all families have “stuff”. Mine, yours, everyone. Fill me in on what’s going on, potential issues, potential successes & possible surprises. Someone coming home from the military to surprise mom? Let me know so I can be there. It’s the details like these that will get you the best images and really help the flow of the day.
I work for you. My contract is with the Bride and Groom no matter who is paying. So what that means is, it is your day, I do what you want. If someone else is kind enough to gift my services to you we need to have a conversation with them about this. I am all about having a clear and common understanding will all parties involved to help diminish unreal expectations.
Other than that... Relax and HAVE FUN!
